The Distribution of Authority In Vermont DeMolay

We have made great strides in moving Vermont DeMolay forward together.

One of the points made to me our last gathering was a need to understand who to go to for what.

This is how we have begun to divide what needs to be done going forward.

I will concentrate on providing direction, administrative support and financial responsibility.  Austin Isham, Deputy Executive Officer will handle the day to day operations, advisor certification and Conclave planning.  Robert Baldauf, Deputy Executive Officer will be responsible for jurisdictional activities.

We will be making more appointments and delineating the job descriptions soon.

There are some region events coming up that would be worth visiting, they are:

·    Awake-a-thon: Massachusetts has scheduled their statewide lock-in during the weekend of February 18-19 at the Longwood Athletic Club in Natick, Massachusetts.  The cost is $25 in advance or $45.00 at the door.  Additional information is available by visiting the Massachusetts DeMolay website.

·    Region 1 Ritual Competition: Saturday April 21st. This will be for opening and closing of a chapter, flower talk and ceremony of light.

Visit the other Region 1 jurisdictional sites for a complete listing of events occurring in Region 1.  Vermont Chapters, Advisors and DeMolays are welcome, in fact encouraged to visit other jurisdictions when convenient.
